Receiver Swap Process-Leased Receivers ONLY

DIRECTV has released a new method to Multiband System Operators for swapping out bad leased receivers or Hardware that is not compatible with the wiring scheme at the property.

This process is done solely through Multiband. Call 1-800-954-0846 if you need to swap a receiver.
A customer service issue exists when Dealers encounter a resident who simply needs a receiver swap. This most often occurs when a resident moves into an MDU property and their existing hardware does not match the wiring scheme of the property or the customer has a faulty receiver.
Dealers will replace the product by removing the customer’s access card from the defective receiver and inserting it into a new, properly configured receiver. The old receiver will be issued a new access card and can either be redeployed or returned to the distributer for credit.

Note: Receivers have to be on the approved list for “Recoverable Receivers”
