What is a MAC Swap: A MAC Swap is done when the wrong MAC address is activated and you are being directed to the registration page. How to perform a MAC swap: If the correct MAC address is registered but not active: 1. Login to your account Go to http://myaccount.pavlovmedia.net Enter your login information and click sign in 2. On the home tab (the page that loads after logging in) In the yellow box that says "Need to connect to the internet" choose the device that you would like to activate from the drop down menu. Select the device and click activate. Reset the device by restarting it. If the correct MAC address is not registered: 1. Find Correct MAC address. On Windows XP/Vista machines, Open command prompt. To open command prompt choose the windows icon in the left corner of the screen. Choose run, When the run dialog box opens type in "cmd" Press enter. Command Prompt (DOS) opens type in "ipconfig/all" press enter. The MAC address will be listed as the "Physical Address" below the device. If you are connecting wirelessly, you will look for the device named "Wireless LAN Adapter" If you are connecting with an ethernet cable, you will look for the device named "Ethernet Adapter" If you are connecting with a router and have registered the MAC address that is on the bottom of it and are trying to connect wirelessly, you will need to make the last pair's digit 1 digit higher. IE. xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-x1 would be xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-x2 and xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xA would be xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xB. 2. Login to your account. Type http://myaccount.pavlovmedia.net into the address bar. When the page comes up type in your username and password. Click login 3. Activate the correct MAC address. On the home page tab, which is displayed when you first login choose activate a new device. Input what you would like the new devices name to be. Input the correct MAC address. Choose Apply. If you already have two devices active, you will need to de-activate one. To do that, while you are on the home page, click the white circle next to the device you want to de-activate. Click activate new device and input you new name and MAC address. 4. Reset the device. If activating a computer restart it. If using a router, unplug it for 10 seconds and plug it back in then restart your computer. 5.
